Are tea and coffee good or bad for us?


This ongoing debate continues as a new study has found that caffeinated beverages may help protect against liver disease.
 
Researchers from the US National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease, discovered that those who drank two cups of tea or coffee a day had 50 percent less chance of developing liver disease.
 
Head researcher Dr Constance Ruhl said, 'In the analysis, we determined that caffeine was partly responsible for the protective effect found.'
