The knock-on effect of stress
New research conducted by the British Heart Foundation at the University College London suggests that stress has an effect on cholesterol levels. The research team found that the participants who showed the strongest reactions to stress were three times more likely to have high cholesterol levels. As cholesterol is a major risk factor in heart disease, it is a good idea to take steps to reduce the amount of stress you experience on a day to day basis.
